According to the head of the press service, Ekaterina Kiseleva, problems with GPS are noted by taxi drivers not only in Moscow, but also in the regions. “At the moment, we do not know the exact cause of this event. These could be magnetic storms, which were predicted from May 1 to May 11, and means of combating drones, and other technical reasons, ”she noted.
“We have not received information that this is reflected in the cost. However, there are problems with navigation – drivers complain about the reflection of the geolocation point. She can jump for a hundred meters and several kilometers. Difficulties are experienced by drivers who do not know the city well and are used to relying on the navigator, ”said Kiseleva.
According to Baza, police officers in Moscow were told that during the preparations for the May 9 parade, a change in GPS location would be activated and navigators might malfunction. Usually, navigation is jammed only near the Kremlin.
