The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine arrested the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, in a case of embezzlement. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center with the right to make bail in the amount of 13 million hryvnias.

The difference in the amount of more than 92 million hryvnias (194.6 million rubles) Trukhanov, his deputy Pavel Vugelman, the head of the standing commission on communal property of the Odessa City Council Vasily Shkryabay, the director of the department of communal property of the Odessa City Council Alexei Spektor and his deputy Vladimir Radionov allegedly tried to withdraw through fictitious company.

Earlier, Trukhanov was subject to another preventive measure. In 2018, the Solomensky Court of Kyiv released him under the guarantee of the People's Deputy Dmitry Golubov.
