Russian Su-35 intercepted Polish aircraft in the Black Sea

A Russian Su-35 fighter intercepted a Polish L410 Turbolet over the Black Sea. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Romania.

The L410 Turbolet of the Polish Border Police, together with the Romanian Border Police, conducted patrols in international airspace over the Black Sea under the auspices of the EU border guard Frontex. At about 13.20 local time (coincides with Moscow), 60 km east of Romanian airspace, he was intercepted by a Russian Su-35.

This information was confirmed by the Polish border police, saying that the plane of the Polish border guard participating in the mission of the EU border guard Frontex over the Black Sea was approached by a Russian fighter three times, which made aggressive and dangerous maneuvers, which brought the plane into a state of severe turbulence.

“The Russian fighter flew directly in front of the nose of the Turbolet L-410 aircraft, crossing the flight path at a dangerous distance. According to the crew, it was about 5 meters,” said the official representative of the Polish Border Guard Anna Michalska.

In this regard, the NATO Joint Air Operations Center in Torrejon alerted two combat aircraft of the Romanian Air Force and two aircraft of the Spanish Air Force, but their intervention was not required.

Mosca has not yet commented on this information.
