Limonov’s Porokhovy, who left Finland because of “Russophobia” and “Ukrainian obsession”, was detained in Russia

On the border of Finland and Russia, Sergei Porokhovy, a member of the Other Russia Eduard Limonov, was detained. He was sent to a temporary detention center in the city of Vyborg. It is reported by "Zaks.ru" with reference to representatives of the party.

In 2013, Porokhova received political asylum in Finland. Earlier, a Russian court ruled to detain him.

As a representative of The Other Russia said, he recently decided to return to Russia due to the fact that it had become “morally unacceptable” for him to live “in Finland that has become hostile from neutral, observing Russophobia and Ukrainian rage around.”

Porokhovoi was one of the defendants in a 2010 case involving 12 activists of the National Bolshevik Party, which was recognized as extremist in Russia and banned. He left Russia in 2011, and in 2013 received political asylum in Finland.

The party reports that Porokhovy intended to go to fight against Ukraine as part of the Interbrigade movement. Now he is being transferred to St. Petersburg. His case, separated into a separate proceeding in relation to the cases of other 11 members of the NBP, released from criminal punishment in 2012 due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, will be considered in the Vyborgsky District Court.
