The person involved in the “Mayakovsky case” Nikolai Daineko was sentenced to four years in prison

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow sentenced the person involved in the Mayakovsky case, Nikolai Daineko, to four years in prison, OVD-Info reports .

The case was considered in a special regime, because Daineko cooperated with the investigation, writes Sota.

Earlier, Daineko and two other defendants, Artyom Kamardin and Yegor Shtovba, were charged with two articles of the Criminal Code: paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 282 and part 3 of Art. 280.4 – about "public calls for the implementation of activities directed against the security of the state, committed by an organized group."

The three Russians were detained in September 2022, the day after yet another Mayakovsky Readings, where poets read their poems, some of them anti-war. The security forces broke into the apartment where Kamardin lived with his friends. Everyone who was there was beaten, sexualized violence was used against Kamardin under recording on camera, a dumbbell was thrust into his anus. Later, the torture video was shown to his girlfriend Alexandra Popova. The poets were forced to apologize for their poems on video.
