The state prosecution has requested 9 years in prison for Solidarity movement activist and human rights activist Mikhail Krieger under an article on “justifying terrorism” because of posts and comments on Facebook in 2020. This was announced by the Telegram channel "Freedom to Mikhail Krieger!", Created in support of the activist.
The meeting was held in the 2nd Western district military court. After the meeting, Krieger performed the Ukrainian song "Chervona Kalina" to applause from the audience. Also, when leaving the hall, people leaned their palm through the glass to Krieger's hand. The policeman, in response to Krieger's performance of the songs, asked to be quieter, but Krieger replied: "I already sang everything." The next meeting will be held on May 17, the verdict will be pronounced.
According to the prosecution, Krieger encroached on the lives of FSB officers and called for the execution of Russian President Vladimir Putin by hanging.

On November 5, 2022, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months on charges of “justifying terrorism” (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). The activist was later aggravated by the addition of an article about inciting hatred or enmity because of a post about Putin.
Krieger is a Moscow opposition activist, a former deputy of the Tagansky District Council of Moscow. He repeatedly went to pickets in defense of political prisoners, spoke out in support of Alexei Navalny and his brother Oleg, and was on duty on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, where opposition leader Boris Nemtsov was killed. Since 2014, Krieger has been organizing rallies against the war in Ukraine. In 1991, during the August events, he and his wife Vera defended the White House.
