Rappers whose tracks contain information about drugs may be subject to criminal liability in Russia after 2024. Igor Zubov, Deputy Interior Minister of the Russian Federation, said that it is proposed to make appropriate changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reports .

The essence of the changes comes down to the introduction of responsibility for the promotion of drug use in music, cinema, the Internet (including personal accounts on social networks). In addition, the law should oblige the use of mandatory labeling in the works, if they are talking about drugs.

Zubov recalled that on January 1, 2024, a law on criminal liability for the promotion of prohibited substances will come into force in Russia.
