“Agency”: RANEPA is going to fire employees who live abroad

The Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of Russia (RANEPA) is going to dismiss employees who live abroad in June. About this writes "Agency" with reference to two employees of the university – the current and the former. According to them, not only those who left Russia in the last year will be fired, but also those who have been living abroad for a long time.

The Agency's source, who currently works at the RANEPA, has not lived in Russia for several years. According to him, "the vice-rector was given the instruction: to dismiss all foreign employees by June 15." A former employee of the academy confirmed this information. The current employee of the university also said that in 2022, RANEPA collected lists of all employees who left in order to find out from them about the date of return to Russia. Those who refused to return have not yet been informed of the grounds for dismissal. However, according to the interlocutors of the "Agency", it can be "of their own free will" or "by agreement of the parties."

The "Agency" unsuccessfully tried to get a comment from the press service of the RANEPA. Her employee on the phone said he did not see the request for a comment, asked to resend it, after which he stopped answering calls.

This is not the first time that RANEPA gets rid of objectionable employees. In December 2022, politician Yulia Galyamina was fired from the university due to a “foreign agency”. She held the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and Practice of Media Communications at the Institute of Social Sciences at the Academy.
