In Moscow, the police received from 5 to 11 years in prison for taking bribes while filming the series “Chikatilo”

The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow has convicted two police officers for taking bribes totaling more than a million rubles. For a fee from the ex-general director of Kino-Group LLC, they blocked the streets during the filming of the Chikatilo series.

Former Deputy Head of the Department for the Protection of Public Order (UOOP) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergei Kulishov, the court sentenced him to 5 years in prison in a strict regime colony with a fine of 1.2 million rubles. His subordinate Vitaly Fokin received 11 years of strict regime with a fine of 2 million rubles.

In August 2022, Dmitry Bolshakov, former CEO of Kino Group, was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison in this case. He was found guilty of mediating bribes. During interrogations, he explained that he tried to officially agree on blocking the streets, but the police did not agree to this.

At the same time, in August, policemen Dmitry Smolin and Igor Fayzullin, who received bribes, were sentenced to 7.5 and 8.5 years in prison.

The series about the serial maniac Andrei Chikatilo was filmed in 2020. The main role in it was played by actor Dmitry Nagiyev.
