On the railway in the Crimea, a train with grain derailed as a result of an explosion

In the Simferopol region of the annexed Crimea, near Bakhchisarai, on the morning of May 18, an explosion occurred on the railway, which caused five wagons with grain to derail. This is reported by the Telegram channels Baza , Mash and Shot .

According to channel 112, the explosion occurred near the village of Chistenkoye. The channel writes that, according to preliminary information, eight wagons left, five of them overturned. Mash writes that in the railway embankment there is a funnel with a diameter of 15 and a depth of two meters, residents of the surrounding settlements heard a strong explosion at about eight in the morning.

The head of the Crimea, appointed by Russia, Sergei Aksenov, confirmed the information about the derailment of the wagons, but he did not say for what reason this happened:

“In the Simferopol region, wagons with grain derailed. The movement of electric trains on the stage Simferopol – Sevastopol is suspended. Bus transfers will be organized for passengers. I am in control of the situation."

According to Aksyonov, there were no casualties, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea Igor Mikhailichenko and relevant departments are working on the spot.

The Crimean Railway reports that the wagons left “as a result of the intervention of unauthorized persons in the work of railway transport,” Interfax reports .
