It became known the name of the pilot who died in the crash of the Su-34 fighter, which was shot down over the Bryansk region on May 13, along with another fighter and two helicopters. As follows from the obituary published on VKontakte, this is a 1st class pilot, Captain Mikhail Valeryevich Chuprakov.
The data of this Russian pilot was published by the Ukrainian project "The Book of Executioners". As of July 2022, Mikhail Chuprakov was listed as a senior pilot of the aviation unit of an aviation squadron, military unit 45117 – 47th bomber aviation regiment of the 105th mixed aviation division of the 6th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Russian Aerospace Forces. It is also reported that Chuprakov was born in 1991, received his passport in Lipetsk and was registered in Voronezh.
According to the Ukrainian resource, Chuprakov was directly involved in the invasion of Ukraine and, as a Su-34 pilot, carried out air strikes on civilian targets in the Kharkiv region.
On May 13, four aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces were shot down over the Bryansk region at once: Su-34 and Su-35 fighters, as well as two Mi-8 MTPR-1 helicopters. A total of 11 people were killed, including three fighter pilots and eight helicopter crew members.
The names of these eight people were made public earlier: these are Sergey Taran (34), Sergey Chigileichik (24), Dmitry Osipov (26), Denis Yakimov, Sergey Ignatov (27), Andrey Podvigin (25), Maxim Savchenko (33), Viktor Khozhainov.
