In Georgia, protesters besiege the hotel where Lavrov’s daughter is staying. She came to celebrate the wedding

In Kakheti, near the Kvareli Lake Resort hotel, where the daughter and son-in-law of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov allegedly stayed, a protest is taking place. Tbilisi Life reports that several civil activists have been detained there.

The Telegram channel, with a link to the Mtavari channel, reports that more than 10 protesters have been detained. According to the channel, the police beat the protesters, and journalists were deprived of mobile phones. Special forces were mobilized on the spot.

Lavrov's daughter Ekaterina Vinokurova, her husband and members of their family came to Georgia to celebrate the wedding of the brother-in-law (husband's brother) Vinokurova. The brother of the Russian businessman Alexander Vinokurov, who is the son-in-law of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, signed with his wife in Tbilisi on May 20.

Also the day before, a rally was held near the Georgian parliament in Tbilisi against the resumption of direct flights between the two countries.
