The publisher of "Mediazona" Pyotr Verzilov recorded a video from the western quarters of Bakhmut. According to him, the city "is all and very soon will be free and Ukrainian."
He also wrote that the battle is for every height, street and house. In addition, Verzilov noted the usefulness of the city trench "when a drone discovered you and they hit you with direct fire in western Bakhmut."

Earlier, the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claimed that Bakhmut was "completely" taken by his mercenaries at noon on May 20. Then he announced that until May 25, the "Wagnerites" would build defensive structures, after which they would leave the city, leaving it to the forces of the Russian Defense Ministry.
Prigozhin threatened to leave Bakhmut more than once. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to "cut" the flanks of the Russian military in this direction.
At the same time, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to hold the Samolet quarter and the private sector that is adjacent to it. At the same time, she acknowledged that heavy fighting was underway and the situation was "critical."
