The criminal case under the article on insulting the feelings of believers, initiated against 19-year-old resident of Volgograd Nikita Zhuravel because of the burning of the Koran, was transferred for investigation to the department of the Investigative Committee for Chechnya. It is reported by TASS.
In a video released by the press service of the FSB, a man with a blurred face says that, on the instructions of the SBU, he bought a Koran and burned it on May 4 near the cathedral mosque in Volgograd. According to him, he filmed what was happening on his phone and sent the video to the SBU, for which he was supposed to receive 10,000 rubles. In other footage, a man lying on the floor after being detained says he was "filming fighter jets."
The detention of Zhuravel became known the day before.
