The mayor of Krasnodar, Yevgeny Naumov, instructed law enforcement agencies to exclude the possibility of performing Verka Serdyuchka's (Andrey Danilko's) song "Walking Party", as well as "generally exclude the possibility of such incidents" in entertainment establishments, according to the website of the city administration.
In the song, which was previously sung by visitors to the Krasnodar karaoke club "La Major", there is a line from the Ukrainian anthem "Ukraine has not died yet." One of the visitors of the institution filmed it on video and posted it on social networks.
After the video became popular, the club was raided by the police to check. Club staff could not explain how the song got into the playlist.
According to the manager of "La Major", the institution "fundamentally does not allow" to sing in the Ukrainian language. In the case of Verka Serduchka's song "The Party", the sound engineer allegedly simply "couldn't get his bearings", since all the verses "are sung in Russian and they are neutral in the text." She also assured that as soon as "the chorus sounded in Ukrainian with an unacceptable meaning, the song was stopped."
Verka Serduchka's songs continue to be played at public events in Russia, probably not suspecting that now this may end with a visit from law enforcement officials. So, in the Lipetsk region, a children's holiday was held to Serduchka's compositions. They danced to her songs in the Crimea. In the first case, complaints rained down on the institution where the holiday was held, and in the second, the woman who organized the disco had to apologize.
