Representatives of the theatrical community of Irkutsk twice applied to the mayor's office with a request to remove the Z-banner from the facade of the drama theater. This is reported by the Irkutsk Blog project, citing a source familiar with the situation.
According to the source, the administration ignored both letters, which were sent to the head of the Committee on Urban Planning Policy Yevgeny Kharitonov.
The authors of the letters noted that such banners, according to the law, cannot be placed on cultural heritage sites. Also in the letter, the authors recalled that the signboard was subjected to “shelling” with rotten eggs with brilliant green, because of which it was necessary to wash not only the banner itself, but also the facade of the building.
