The court in the “DPR” sentenced a serviceman from the “Azov” to life imprisonment

The court in the "DPR" sentenced a serviceman of the "Azov" regiment Alexei Kyrkalov to life imprisonment. According to the Russian Investigative Committee, he was accused of using prohibited means and methods of warfare, as well as murder.

According to the prosecution, in April 2022, Ukrainians captured two Russian servicemen in Mariupol, and on April 15, Kyrkalov, who allegedly used the call sign "Fritz", shot dead one of the prisoners. Kirkalov himself pleaded not guilty.

In April, a court in the "DPR" sentenced Ukrainian serviceman Andrei Petrenko to 22 years in a strict regime colony. He was accused of killing a civilian in Mariupol in March last year.
