Since September last year, conscripts began to be brought to the Belgorod region, who were actually thrown to guard the border with Ukraine, writes "7×7". Since the beginning of the war, at least seven conscripts have died on the border.
According to the publication, formally conscripts, as required by law, are outside the war zone, but in reality they come under fire and are injured. Relatives of the soldiers told reporters that they stand so close to the border that they see Ukrainian servicemen, live in dugouts, dig trenches and perform the duties of border guards. At the same time, the soldiers claim that they are practically not taught to shoot and handle weapons.
According to the mother of one of the conscripts, she went to a meeting with military prosecutor Denis Mikheev in Belgorod, and he said that the task of the soldiers was to pass on information in the event of an enemy attack.
“It turns out that they report that they have broken through us, and they are dying, because they will not do anything with this enemy. They stand ahead of the border guards, like targets. Adult men who receive a salary for this and went to the border guards of their own free will are behind our untrained youngsters, ”the woman said.
From three to five conscripts died in the Belgorod region in one day, on January 16, when the Shebekino automobile checkpoint came under fire.
On May 22, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group penetrated the border area of Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region, a CTO regime was introduced and part of the population was evacuated. After the raid, the border areas of the region were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks, the authorities admitted that 12 residents were injured.
A video with the destroyed border checkpoint "Grayvoron" appeared on the Internet. "Voenkor" Alexander Kots wrote , referring to his subscriber – a border guard located in the Belgorod region, that this border checkpoint was guarded by conscripts. In his opinion, the Ukrainian forces deliberately attacked precisely in this place – "hit where it was thin."
