An Asiana Airlines plane has landed safely in South Korea after a passenger opened the door mid-flight.
According to BNO News, after that, nine people were taken to the hospital, as they had problems with breathing. In total, there were more than 190 passengers on board.
Asiana Airlines flight OZ8124 took off from Jeju Island, a popular holiday destination in South Korea. As it was approaching its destination airport in Daegu and had already begun to descend, the passenger opened one of the doors, a spokesman for the company said. Now this passenger is in police custody. There, he explained that he had touched the emergency door lever next to him.
Asiana is South Korea's second largest airline and is in the process of being acquired by Korean Air.
