Seven armed servicemen, former prisoners, escaped from a military unit located in the Russian-occupied territory of the Donetsk region of Ukraine. It is reported by TASS.

According to the agency, this happened in the area of ​​Soledar, after drinking strong spirits by men in the Bryanki cafe. At the same time, a TASS source in Russian law enforcement agencies reports that one of them was shot dead by his own people for wanting to surrender.

Later, information appeared that five of them were detained on the territory of the “LPR”. Thus, for the time being, one of the servicemen who escaped remains at large. His search is being conducted, including on the territory of the Rostov region.

At the same time, earlier the Rostov regional publication 161.ru, as well as Russian telegram channels, reported about the flight of a group of military personnel from the city of Lisichansk, Luhansk region, consisting of 39 people. According to this information, the escapees belonged to the Storm Z squad and were also previously in prison.

In January 2023, eight mobilized from the Kaliningrad region who refused to fight in Ukraine and left the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic were charged with desertion. They escaped a month earlier, hitchhiked to Podolsk, near Moscow, and themselves came to the police to hand over their service weapons. There they were detained.
