The FSB opened a criminal case against a policeman from the Crimea, who left a comment under the broadcast of the speech of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. According to Baza, the case was initiated, presumably, under the article on the illegal circulation of explosives. The man is also checked for communication with the Ukrainian special services.
According to Baza, Sergey E. attracted the attention of law enforcement agencies due to the fact that he called for “f*cking in Crimea” under the broadcast on Instagram. On May 25, a man who worked as a senior investigator in the control and methodological department of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Crimea was fired and detained shortly after.
The Russian authorities regularly accuse the inhabitants of the annexed Crimea of working for the Ukrainian special services, espionage, and preparing sabotage. So, earlier in May, the FSB announced the detention of a Crimean resident who allegedly transmitted data on the movements of Russian military equipment to the Ukrainian military. In April, another resident of the peninsula was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the case of setting fire to the military enlistment office.
