Ex-employees of Prigozhin’s media holding were sentenced to 8 years in prison in the case of extortion from the director of Rostec

The admins of the Telegram channels Project Scanner and Riddle were sentenced to terms of up to 8 years in a strict regime. Vladislav Malushenko, Yevgeny Moskvin and Alexei Slobodenyuk were found guilty of extorting Vasily Brovko, director at large of Rostec.

The defendants in the case were detained last August after a statement to the police from Vasily Brovko. He said that he had transferred 470 thousand rubles to them for a "block on the negative" about himself and his wife Tina Kandelaki.

During the trial, Malushenko, Moskvin and Slobodenyuk apologized and pleaded guilty, and also paid 3 million as compensation. After that, Brovko asked the court not to deprive the defendants of their freedom, saying that "the guys suffered enough." However, the prosecution insisted on imprisonment in a strict regime colony.

As the Beware, News project recalls , all three defendants in the case were previously employees of Yevgeny Prigozhin's Patriot media holding. Alexey Slobodenyuk previously worked as the head of the information service of Narodny Novosti, his ex-colleague Yevgeny Moskvin also worked there, and Vladislav Malushenko was an employee of RIA FAN.
