According to the order of the government of Poland, from June 1, the movement of trucks with Russian and Belarusian numbers across the border of this country will be prohibited, Kommersant reports .
Traffic will be closed to all trucks, tractors, road trains, trailers, as well as semi-trailers carrying goods and registered in Russia or Belarus. The document was prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country and signed by the head of the department.
In addition, Poland imposed sanctions against 365 citizens of Belarus and froze the accounts of 15 Russians and one Belarusian. Restrictions were imposed against deputies, judges, prosecutors, representatives of local authorities, security officials, propagandists and athletes for advancing the interests and supporting the Lukashenka regime.
At the end of May, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel about the support of “all” deputies of the initiative to ban Polish trucks from passing through the territory of the Russian Federation. He also announced his desire to set special prices for their owners at Russian gas stations.
Relations between Russia and Poland deteriorated after the Polish authorities seized the school building at the Russian Embassy in Warsaw. The representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Luka Jasina, explained that, according to court decisions, this property is illegally occupied by Russia and belongs to the Polish state.
