Verkhovna Rada approved sanctions against Iran for 50 years

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the imposition of sanctions against Iran for 50 years. This was announced by the deputy Alexei Goncharenko.

“The Rada agreed on the imposition of sanctions against Iran for 50 years. For – 328. Previously, this decision was made by the National Security and Defense Council. After they help Russia, provide hundreds of "Shaheds" that make our cities a nightmare, we must also break off diplomatic relations. Sanctions are good, but not enough.”

Also today, the Verkhovna Rada supported a bill declaring May 8 in Ukraine as the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II. 317 deputies voted for this decision, one person voted against, 35 more deputies did not participate in the vote. On May 9, the country will celebrate Europe Day.

Earlier in May, Zelensky signed a decree declaring May 9 as Europe Day and submitted a bill to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to declare May 8 the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II.
