The Ministry of Culture has updated the composition of expert councils on feature, documentary, animation films and films for children and youth, Vedomosti writes , citing the published orders of the ministry.
Directors Alexei Uchitel, Alexei Agranovich, Alexei Fedorchenko, Vladimir Khotinenko, producers Petr Anurov and Anton Zlatopolsky, screenwriters Lyubov Mulmenko and Roman Kantor, director general of Channel One Konstantin Ernst, director general of Central Partnership Vadim Vereshchagin and chairman Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm Julian Slashchev. Also, industry journalists and the executive director of the Kinoprime film support fund founded by Roman Abramovich, Anton Malyshev, were removed from the councils.
At the same time, the councils included State Duma deputy, actor Dmitry Pevtsov, head of the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding, director Alexei Pimanov, and two representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church – Archpriest Dmitry Roschin and vice-rector of the Orthodox St. Tikhon Humanitarian University Philip Ilyashenko.
Expert councils are engaged in the selection of applications for state subsidies. In 2023, it is planned to allocate more than 11.5 billion rubles for films selected by the ministry as state support.
