Death toll in train collision in India tops 200

In India, a collision between two trains killed 238 people, another 900 were injured, writes Times of India. Reuters reports 288 dead.

The accident occurred on June 2 near the city of Balasore at about 19:00 local time (16:30 Moscow time). According to some reports, the carriages of an express train bound for Chennai derailed and crashed into a freight train that was on parallel tracks.

The rescue operation has already ended, an investigation is underway.
