The authorities of St. Petersburg will spend 24 million rubles on a “road show” in Iran to lure Iranian tourists to the city

The authorities of St. Petersburg are going to conduct a tour of Iran, the purpose of which will be to tell about the sights of the city and attract Iranian tourists there. As follows from the contract posted on the public procurement website, 24.99 million rubles were allocated for the organization of "presentation events in the road show format", but the selected supplier offered to complete the work for 24 million rubles.

The application was placed on behalf of the City Tourist Information Bureau. According to the contract, the organizers of the tour will have to hold “presentations of tourism programs and services of the hospitality industry of St. Petersburg” within three days in three cities of Iran: Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz. The service must be provided by the end of October 2023. Five companies applied for the contract, the commission for determining suppliers chose the ProfMediaGroup agency.

Earlier, on June 1, direct flights between St. Petersburg and Tehran were opened . Flights are operated by Nordwind Airlines.

On the website of the State Budgetary Institution "City Tourist Information Bureau" it is reported that in June a road show with a presentation of St. Petersburg will be held in the cities of Kazakhstan.
