Death toll from Mr. Cider poisoning rises to 32 – Baza

Already 32 people have died from poisoning drink "Mr. Cider". This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel. Fatal poisonings occurred in the Ulyanovsk and Samara regions. People began to enter hospitals in Dimitrovgrad on June 3–4. Before death, the dead drank one drink – apple cider "Mr. Cider", which was sold in two local beer chains (one of them – "Territory").

After drinking a drink produced in the Samara region, residents of the Ulyanovsk, Samara and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as Udmurtia, were previously taken to hospitals with poisoning. A case of cider poisoning was also recorded in Chuvashia. Three more girls were hospitalized in the city hospitals of Penza, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor decided to confiscate all products of the Andi company, which sells counterfeit cider in retail chains and wholesale depots. The owner of the organization has already been caught selling non-certified alcoholic products in the past, then he got off with a warning. Now he was detained – he faces up to 10 years in prison.
