More than 100 people are waiting for evacuation on the roofs in the completely flooded village of Left Solontsi in the Kherson region. Volunteers report the dead

Volunteers and relatives report the need for urgent evacuation of residents of the village of Levye Solontsi, Oleshkovsky district, Kherson region, which was completely flooded. This area belongs to the territory occupied by Russia.

Volunteers told The Insider that people are in a critical situation for more than a day: they are escaping on rooftops while waiting for help. There are already reports of deaths.

Information about people in need of help was transferred to the Ministry of Emergency Situations a few days ago, the volunteers sent a request again the day before, but so far there is no confirmed information that the authorities sent rescuers to the area.

Today, June 9, there were reports that the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to Levye Solontsy, but so far it has not been confirmed either.

Volunteers reported that they could not get to the area on their own, as military operations were taking place there. If people are not taken out today, they may die.

On June 8, volunteers told The Insider about more than 30 people who died on Nizhnaya Street in Oleshki during the flood. According to them, Russian rescuers checked the documents of residents, and did not help those who present Ukrainian passports. Volunteers who tried to get into the city on their boats were offered to give them to representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
