In Kherson, the Russian military continues to carry out shelling during the evacuation of civilians from flooded houses. According to the Kherson regional prosecutor's office, the shelling took place on June 9 at about 17:40 local time. As a result of the attack, three people were injured, including a minor girl. In addition, due to the shelling, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged. The prosecutor's office reported that it had launched an investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The day before, on June 8, the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine already reported that the Russian military was shelling the regional center and settlements in the Kherson region, where civilians are trying to evacuate during the flood.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with a journalist from the Axel Springer publishing house that Ukrainian rescuers are trying to help residents of the occupied regions, but the Russian military are shooting at them.
