In the Belgorod region, 15 freight cars derailed, wrote the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on the evening of June 10.
This happened in the Alekseevsky urban district. According to Gladkov, the train was empty and followed to the station of one of the enterprises. The governor also reported no changes to commuter train schedules in the region and the work of field investigators.
However, already in the morning, Gladkov notified about the suspension of commuter trains and electric trains, and also expressed the hope that "Russian Railways employees will quickly cope with the situation."
On May 18, five wagons full of grain derailed in the Simferopol region of Russia-annexed Crimea. Local residents heard a strong explosion, but the Russian-appointed “head” of the region, Sergei Aksyonov, did not name in his message why the incident occurred. Later, the Crimean Railway reported that the derailment of the wagons occurred "as a result of the intervention of unauthorized persons in the work of railway transport."
