The Russian military fired on a boat with people who were evacuated from the occupied left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, Andriy Yermak, head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said . According to him, six people were injured.

“They opened fire on the backs of civilians,” Yermak wrote. According to him, all the wounded were delivered to Kherson, doctors are fighting for their lives.

On May 8, the Ukrainian authorities reported that the Russian military shelled Kherson and several settlements in the Kherson region, from where residents are trying to evacuate, whose houses were flooded after the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric dam broke. According to data released by the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, a person died as a result, two more were injured. The next day, the Kherson regional prosecutor's office announced a new shelling of Kherson, as a result of which three people were injured, including a minor girl.

The Russian-appointed "head" of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, in turn, claimed that on the night of June 10, the Ukrainian military attacked temporary accommodation for evacuees on the Arabat Spit. According to him, the woman died.
