Vesti Nedeli responded to accusations made against Donald Trump of illegal possession of secret documents with a story by VGTRK correspondent in the United States Valentin Bogdanov. He, stating that other American presidents treated documents in a similar way, but did not initiate cases against them, moved on to accusations of Republicans against President Biden:
“Is it a matter of Biden’s conspiracy with Ukraine, the traces of which it was Giuliani before the previous elections that Trump sent to look for in Kyiv. For the 45th President of the United States, then everything ended in impeachment. For promising to cut off Zelensky's oxygen if he does not provide evidence. And here they are. The so-called form FD-1023, the head of the FBI, Christopher Ray, hid from the Republicans until the last moment, until they threatened him with a case for contempt of Congress. There was something to hide. The note contains the testimony of an informant who personally personally communicated with the head of Burisma Zlochevsky, for whom Biden Jr. worked. However, the Ukrainian oligarch considered him stupid, and therefore, not through Hunter, but through his dad, they wanted to resolve the issue with Prosecutor General Shokin, who was investigating Burisma. And I decided.

Biden began taking work home and then not returning it as a senator. But for 50 years, prosecutors have not reached him – he is not Trump. But everything, as they say, ahead.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green is known as a conspiracy theorist and Trump supporter. Twice she put forward a proposal to remove Biden from office, and the first time this happened the day after his inauguration. The basis then was just the same story with Burisma . Green's bill was sent to the subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Freedoms; he received no further promotion.
All that has changed since then is that Republicans gained access to some FBI informant memo relating to $10 million in deals that allegedly benefited Biden and his son Hunter. The FBI does not publish the note in order not to declassify the identity of its informant.
But, as Time magazine points out, much earlier, back in 2020, investigators from the Justice Department under the leadership of then Attorney General Bill Barr familiarized themselves with the FBI materials. No evidence of Biden's wrongdoing was found, and the investigation into the allegations was closed. It is significant that this was happening during the Trump administration and it was he who appointed Attorney General Barr to the post. No new evidence of Biden's bribery has emerged since then.
In May, the Republican-controlled House Committee on Oversight and Accountability released a 36-page report outlining the overseas business activities of members of the Biden family. According to the same Time magazine, there is no evidence in the committee memorandum that President Biden knew about these transactions or that they had anything to do with his actions as a public servant. Obviously, the Republican attempt to recall these accusations without any legal prospects is nothing more than a way to oppose at least something to the accusations against Trump.
