At noon, Pegov was already reporting on the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards Staromlynovka , as well as towards Urozhayny , and spoke of growing "alarming trends." According to him, the real situation of the 5th Army of the Russian Federation, which is defending in this direction, does not correspond to that indicated in the documents. There is a lack of both personnel and equipment with a numerical superiority on the part of the Ukrainian forces. At the same time, the fighters, as Pegov writes, are “motivated” to fight, but it is not yet clear how.
The Russian channel "Military Informant", confirming the withdrawal of Russians from Storozhevoye and Makarovka , speaks of an "unclear situation" with the village of Rovnopol , located to the west along the front line, which, probably, the Russian forces will have to leave "due to the new configuration of the defense line." They also talk about the unsuccessful counterattacks of the Russian military on the abandoned settlements, as well as the fact that the Russians still retain dominating heights in the region.
