Since June 2, a system for identifying persons put on the interstate wanted list in the CIS countries has been operating in Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by the 24.kg edition with reference to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the agency, the Russian security forces have already provided data for more than 85,000 wanted people for the facial recognition system.

Over the past ten days, CCTV cameras have detected 57 people from the general search base in Kyrgyzstan. Most of them are locals, but there are also Russians. These people were “registered”, and four have already been detained, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

On June 11, Alena Krylova, a former press secretary of the For Human Rights movement, who is wanted in Russia in the case of the Left Resistance, was detained in the country. Since the beginning of June, her case has become the third case of detention in Kyrgyzstan of Russian activists hiding from persecution. Earlier, Lev Skoryakin, who was wanted for a banner stretched out near the FSB building with the inscription "Happy Chekist Day", and Alexei Rozhkov, who was suspected of setting fire to the military registration and enlistment office, were detained.
