The prosecutor's office in Berlin opened a criminal case under the article on rape against the lead singer of the band Rammstein Till Lindemann. Bild writes about this, citing sources.
According to the publication, the case was opened under article 177 of the German Criminal Code (“Violent acts of a sexual nature, coercion to sex, rape”). The case was based on testimony in two cases. One of them went to the Berlin police, the other to the prosecutor's office.
Earlier, the NDR and the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote that more than a dozen women made accusations against Lindemann in conversations with journalists. They claim that they were invited to parties after concerts organized especially for the vocalist. The contact was often established through Instagram or right at the concert. Two women also reported possible sexual activities to which they did not consent.
In some cases, according to journalists, girls were offered free alcohol and illegal drugs at parties. Numerous screenshots of chats on WhatsApp and Instagram, as well as photographs, confirm the testimony of women, the publications noted.
Rammstein's European tour – "Europa Stadion Tour" – began on May 22 with a concert in Vilnius. Irish fan Shelby Lynn, who visited him, made accusations against Lindemann and his team. The girl claims that during a break at the concert she was drugged.
