The ex-employee of the Federal Air Transport Agency with Ukrainian citizenship is suspected of hacking the IT structure of the department. Shot writes about this, citing a source. According to preliminary data, she introduced the virus through a work computer, which led to the collapse of the system and the loss of "many gigabytes of critical information." At the same time, the suspect managed to leave Russia.
The incident in question took place early last year. A young girl got a job in Rosaviatsia for an ordinary position (in the digitalization department). According to Shot, there were no special checks in this regard in the department. Two months later, she wrote a statement of her own free will and left the company. A few days later (March 26), the servers of the Federal Air Transport Agency crashed .
This is how the media described it at the time:
“Rosaviatsia urgently switched to paper mode: the entire IT structure of the strategic department was subjected to a powerful hacker attack. According to our source, the servers crashed last Saturday. It has not yet been possible to restore access to a number of electronic registers, and the FSB and the prosecutor’s office have already joined the proceedings.”
After the beginning of the check, the security forces found out that the citizenship of the retired girl was dual: the Russian Federation and Ukraine. After her dismissal, she left for Belarus, and then her trace was lost.
