In Belarus, it was allowed to open criminal cases against dead people and judge them, such a bill was adopted by the House of Representatives – the Lower House of the country's parliament. The Mirror drew attention to this. The bill amends the article of the Criminal Code on the circumstances that exclude the possibility of initiating a criminal case.
Cases will be opened under articles on crimes that do not have a statute of limitations. It can be:

As reported in the Telegram channel of the Belarusian legislators, these are additional measures “for a comprehensive, complete and objective study of the circumstances of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, the identification of persons involved in its commission, and their criminal prosecution.”
In courts, the deceased will be represented by their relatives "regardless of consent."
