Activists collect money for the funeral of Anatoly Berezikov. He died in a detention center after being tortured with a stun gun

Fundraising has been announced for the funeral of activist Anatoly Berezikov, who died in a special detention center in Rostov-on-Don after being tortured. It is carried out by the human rights project "The First Department".

In total, it is required to collect 500 thousand rubles. In addition to the funeral of the man, they will go to material assistance to his elderly mother.

In Rostov-on-Don, Bereznikov posted leaflets of the Ukrainian project “I want to live”, which called on the Russian military to surrender. He was charged with petty hooliganism and disobedience to a police officer. The activist was subjected to "carousel" administrative arrests and tortured in a special detention center with a stun gun.

On June 15, Berezikov’s lawyer, Irina Gak, came to her client, but she was told that he was “no more”. Some time later, she saw his body being carried into the ambulance.

When asked by OVD-Info about what happened to Berezikov, they answered in the detention center that he allegedly committed suicide.
