Two memorial plaques of her students appeared on the facade of the school in Komi – one died in the Chechen war, the second in Ukraine. This is father and son

On the facade of the school building in the Sysolsky village of Kuratovo (Komi Republic), two memorial plaques were opened in honor of Alexander Tutrinov, who died in the war in Ukraine in 2022, and his father Semyon, who died in the war in Chechnya in 2002. Judging by the dates on the boards, Alexander Semyonovich Turinov was born a year before the death of his father, Semyon Alexandrovich Turinov, in Chechnya. Both studied at the same school, both were awarded the Order of Courage posthumously. Tutrinov Sr. died at the age of 20. His son was 21 at the time of his death.

As Aleksey Prosuzhikh, deputy chairman of the Komi government, wrote on his page, Tutrinov Sr. was supposed to return home in March 2002, but on January 23, militants blew up his combat vehicle in the Kurchaloy district of Chechnya. The munitions of the infantry fighting vehicle were triggered by the land mine. During the explosion, the senior sergeant covered his comrade sitting next to him with his body. They were able to bury him only two months later after a long identification procedure.

Tutrinov Jr. in the battles during the occupation of Donbass by the Russian troops received severe injuries, from which he died in a hospital in July 2022.

“Semyon and Alexander Tutrinov are heroes of different times, who were united by love for the Motherland and a sense of duty. Father and son were not destined to know each other in life, but each of them could rightfully be proud of each other, ”said Prosuzhikh.
