The "head" of the occupation administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to take operational control of the village of Pyatikhatki, for which fierce battles had been fought in recent days. Previously, "military correspondents" wrote about this.
According to him, the Ukrainian military was able to achieve this result thanks to "wave offensives." Rogov writes that Russian artillery is now working in the village, and also that Ukrainian reinforcements, consisting of infantry and several armored vehicles, are advancing towards the settlement. In the event of a successful consolidation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Pyatikhatki, he assumes that in the future the Ukrainian military will try to launch an offensive in the direction of the village of Zherebyanka.
A few hours earlier, the head of the press center of the Vostok group of troops of the Russian Federation, Oleg Chekhov, stated that the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Pyatikhatki was repulsed, and the Russian military destroyed "more than a dozen tanks, armored vehicles and manpower." The Ukrainian side did not comment on the situation in this settlement, speaking only of "tactical success" in the southern direction.
