Coca-Cola to buy owner of Finlandia vodka

Coca-Cola HBC (Coca-Cola Hellenic), one of the largest bottlers of The Coca-Cola Company products, announced the purchase of Brown-Forman Finland, the owner of the Finlandia vodka brand. The parties plan to complete the deal in the second half of 2023.

A posting on the Coca-Cola HBC website said the deal was valued at $220 million. The assets are being acquired through CC Beverages Holdings II BV, a subsidiary of Coca-Cola HBC.

The company believes that the acquisition of the owner of the Finlandia brand will enhance the reputation of Coca-Cola HBC in the field of premium alcoholic beverages. Coca-Cola HBC has been distributing Finlandia and other premium spirits for over 17 years. The acquisition will further enrich and strengthen its portfolio in other markets, the statement said.
