In Simferopol, on the Evpatoria highway at four o'clock in the morning, a car exploded with an assistant to the "deputy prime minister" of the occupied Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Epifanov, reports Baza. The official and two other passengers received severe burns.
According to the channel, a gas cylinder exploded in the car while Epifanov was driving. There were also two more people in the cabin – Epifanov's secretary and bodyguard. All three received 30 percent burns to the head, torso and arms, after the accident they were hospitalized.
What caused the explosion is still unclear. According to the deputy prime minister's aide, the day before the explosion, the gas cylinder was checked at a service station in Simferopol.
Recall that in August, Russian and Ukrainian media reported that Vitaly Gura, the Russian-appointed “deputy head” of the Novokakhovka administration for housing and communal services, died while being transported to a Crimean hospital after an assassination attempt was made on him. However, more than a month later, Channel One showed a story that Gura was actually alive. His murder was called a staging by the FSB "in the name of salvation."
