The city court of Bratsk sent under house arrest the owner of the Shawarma I want cafe, in which dozens of visitors were poisoned. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the management of the UK in the Irkutsk region. The investigator requested that the owner be taken into custody.

The publication "Your Irkutsk" reports that salmonella bacteria were found in samples of the biological material of poisoned people.

The cafe owner, an individual entrepreneur, was detained on June 15. A criminal case has been initiated under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (production, storage, marketing of products that do not meet safety requirements). At least 62 people sought medical attention after eating at the establishment. 29 of them were hospitalized, including five children.

Rospotrebnadzor found violations of sanitary standards in the Shawarma I Want cafe. It was temporarily closed, investigators are interrogating employees and affected visitors.
