Leps concert canceled in Kazakhstan. Earlier, he and Baskov promised the military 1 million rubles for the destruction of Leopard tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The administration of the Makao Luxury Village Resort in the Almaty region canceled the concert of Russian singer Grigory Leps. It is reported by Ulysmedia.kz.

Makao Luxury Village Resort, which provided its concert venue, terminated the contract with the organizers unilaterally. Tickets are refunded at the place of purchase, Makao Luxury Village Resort noted.

Leps was supposed to speak   July 8 in one of the casinos in the city of Konaev. However, the residents of the city appealed to the akims and authorities of the Almaty region with a demand to cancel the Leps concert. This happened after Nikolai Baskov announced at a party at the SPIEF that he and Leps would pay the Russian military 1 million rubles for each destroyed APU Leopard tank. Initially, the initiative was announced by the founder of the Zemlyane group, Vladimir Kiselev, and singer Yuri Antonov also joined the artists who supported the action.

After that, Ukrainian singer Olya Polyakova offered a $1,000 reward for every spit in the face of Baskov and Leps.

In March 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine prepared sanctions against 47 Russian artists supporting Russia's war against Ukraine. Then, in addition to Grigory Leps, the list included musicians Nikolai Baskov, Dima Bilan, Polina Gagarina, Oleg Gazmanov, Dzhigan, Larisa Dolina, Sergei Zhukov, Nikolai Rastorguev and Timati, actors Dmitry Kharatyan, Yana Poplavskaya, Dmitry Pevtsov, Nikita Mikhalkov, Vladimir Mashkov and Marat Basharov, as well as politicians and propagandists Nailya Asker-zade, Roman Babayan, Alexei Gudoshnikov, Alexander Dugin and Modest Kolarov.
