Human rights activist Nastya Loika sentenced to 7 years in prison in Belarus

The Minsk City Court sentenced human rights activist Nastya Loika to 7 years in prison, finding her guilty of inciting hatred. It is reported by Radio Liberty.

The trial of the girl was held behind closed doors, the details of the process were not reported.

The reason for initiating a criminal case against Loiko was the report “Persecution of anarchists, anti-fascists, leftists and public activists in Belarus (2017-August 2018)”, which critically assessed the activities of the police.

Previously, the girl served several administrative arrests. According to Human Constanta, during one of them, Nastya was taken for interrogation to the GUBOPiK employees, where she was hit with a stun gun.
