She clarified that the last exchange was recently, among the 94 returned Russians was one from the Belgorod region. Who exactly these residents of the Belgorod region – PMC fighters, contract soldiers or mobilized – and how they were captured, is unknown.

The Insider drew attention to the fact that pro-Ukrainian formations calmly cross the border in the Belgorod region, although at least 10 billion rubles were spent on defense installations in the region: in the border regions of Russia and Belarus there are both the Wagner Line and the Surovikin Line, and even the Khrenin Line.

On June 11, Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 94 Russian servicemen were sent to hospitals for treatment and rehabilitation. The Ukrainian side reported that 95 servicemen returned home, among them prisoners from Mariupol, from near Bakhmut and from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, as well as the defenders of Azovstal and Zmeiny Island. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak published photos and videos with servicemen.
