A transgender girl detained in Moscow said that she was released from the police

Transgender girl Olysia Kat, detained at the Mozaika shopping center in Moscow, said that she was released from the police station, where she spent a day without a lawyer. According to Novaya Gazeta Europe, she announced this on her Telegram channel.

"Hooray! They released me from the police! How it happened, I will explain in more detail later, on the way home, ”she wrote.

Olysia Kat was detained the day before in the Mozaika shopping center in Moscow. She herself called the police after mall security guards tried to escort her out of the building. The security forces came and took her to the department. According to Novaya Gazeta Europe, the police kept the girl in the department for more than a day and told her that she was a man. The security forces did not give her food and demanded that she drink “from the tap or from the toilet,” and also said that her passport was “just a piece of paper.” A lawyer was not allowed to see the detainee, and her pets were left unattended at home.

At the end of May, a citizen of Kazakhstan, transwoman Alice Femina, who has been living in Moscow for more than 15 years, ended up in the Sakharovo special detention center, where she spent 15 days, for shouting the slogan “Glory to Ukraine”.
