EU to impose sanctions against arms manufacturers for the Russian Armed Forces – Dutch Foreign Ministry

The European Union, within the framework of the 11th package of sanctions against Russia, will introduce measures against arms manufacturers and electronics suppliers for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as persons associated with the evacuation of children from Ukraine. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra.

“I am glad that the EU has reached a political agreement on a new package of sanctions against Russia, including measures aimed at strengthening the EU's approach to [fighting] sanctions circumvention. Thanks to the efforts of the Netherlands, the package of sanctions will apply, in particular, to weapons manufacturers, those responsible for the abduction of Ukrainian children, and suppliers of electronics to Russian special services,” Hoekstra wrote.
