The Frenchman drugged his wife with tranquilizers and invited strangers who raped her into the house. 51 people detained – Le Monde

The Frenchman drugged his wife with tranquilizers, after which he brought strangers into the house to rape her while she slept, according to Le Monde. Over the course of ten years or so, she was raped at least 92 times by 83 men. So far, the police have been able to identify 51 of them.

The suspect in this case is known by the nickname Dominique P, which he used on the online forum "à son insu" ("without his/her knowledge"). Users of this site have discussed performing sexual acts with unconscious partners without their consent. Forum posts were deleted automatically after a few hours.

Retired Dominique P has been married to his wife for 50 years and they have three grown children. The couple lived in the city of Mazan. In the evening before the “meetings”, the man mixed the tranquilizer lorazepam into her food.

French police have detained 51 men involved in the rape of a woman whom Le Monde calls Françoise (not her real name). They are from 26 to 73 years old, and they are people of completely different professions. Among them are a firefighter, a truck driver, a municipal worker, an IT specialist, a prison guard, a nurse and a journalist.

Dominique P filmed his wife's rapes and kept the footage on a separate flash drive. Some of the detained men claimed not to know that the woman did not consent to sexual intercourse, and said that "this is his wife, he can do whatever he wants with her." The rape occurred from at least 2011 to 2020.

Françoise learned about what her husband was doing from the police, who opened investigations into Dominique P, who was accused of spying on women with a hidden camera in the locker rooms of a local supermarket. Despite having previously had "unexplained gynecological problems" and being treated four times for sexually transmitted diseases, the woman did not attribute all this to her husband's actions. She told the police that Dominique P was a “great guy”, “kind and caring”. Now she has filed for divorce.

Earlier it became known that the prosecutor's office in Berlin opened a criminal case under the article on rape against the lead singer of the band Rammstein Till Lindemann on charges of rape. Women who were invited to after-concert parties organized specifically for the vocalist spoke of being sexually assaulted without their consent.
